Dr. Kristin Mickelson
Professor of Psychology
We look for students who have a passion for psychology and research. The typical student is academically-minded with a good GPA, but may need a bit more research experience and coursework before pursuing a PhD. Students do not need to be a Psychology major but need to have taken courses in Research Methods and Statistics. Students must have completed a Research Methods and a Statistics course prior to admission. During the summer prior to starting the program, refreshing your statistics knowledge and SPSS skill are strongly encouraged. Once admitted, we strongly recommend that students contact their advisor to find out if there are any specific preparations for that faculty member's research and/or lab.
