Master's Degree, MA , Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology
We look for students who want to focus more on persons with adjustment problems, rather than on persons suffering from severe psychological disorders. Counseling psychologists are employed in academic settings, community mental health centers, and private practice. People decide to enter the counseling field at many stages, and they do so with undergraduate majors in many different fields. There is no one path you need to follow. Many who posess a stong background in psychology or social work or have experience in the helping professions tend to do very well.
